Players gather an army and fight for objective points in order to control the battlefield, using combined weapon tactics to win. The game offers alternating activations and brutally fast battles that keep both players busy at all times. In terms of gameplay, the army is extremely resilient, with all units having the regeneration rule, but it is also very slow, all units having the slow rule. The battle report is a great showcase of a small game for beginners, which also includes detailed explanations of how the game works and the rules of the AI. In addition, we plan to add other features, such as the ability to combine units, full support for validating contest rules, and improved list printing. After the God-King declared the women incapable, the God-Queen decided she had had enough and set out to train her own army of brave warriors who copied the technology of the fighting brothers, but not always perfectly. The Hanzaki Ninja is already available for free, so check out the military here. Thanks to a helpful suggestion from our community, we have updated the Army of the Deep Elves with many new units and strengthened its battle lines. Until now, their army list was quite small, but with today`s update, you can now create 10 new units! The theme of the jam was “Asymmetric Design”, which sparked a lot of cool and unexpected ideas and resulted in some truly unique games, so check them all out (which should be pretty quick as they`re all one-sided games). With a big new box of fantastic templates on the horizon, we thought it would be cool to create Quickplay armies so you can put your new models into play as soon as possible. This set contains the vicious Dark Elves against the twisted demons of lust. Note that as part of this bundle, we have updated the Black Elven Army to version 2.6. Grimdark Future is a one-sided miniatures game set in a war-torn sci-fi future, easy to learn but difficult to master. The game is played with 30-40 models per army, so you have great battles that can be played in 60-90 minutes.
Army Forge is an online tool that allows you to quickly and efficiently compile army lists without having to manually calculate the cost of points. The system is still in beta and therefore only offers a limited number of armies as well as a host of bugs. Right now, we`re trying to get everything ready as soon as possible so you can get cool OPR products by Christmas, but no promises. Finally, we must mention Vostok, which, although it does not really follow the theme of asymmetrical design, was far too interesting for us to miss in this flagship section. While that means they lack a bit of tenacity, it doesn`t make them any less fierce when it comes to war, and in some ways they overshadow the Battle Brothers. Whatever you want to do, we are pleased to count you as a member of the OPR community. This led them to magically mutate the necromancers into skeletons that did not absorb their new situation well (Go figure). This week, we`re bringing you a series of Quickplay armies focused on the endless clashes between High Elf fleets and Dark Elf fighters. Since the Great Machine Wars, the Dark Elf Hunters have been seeking revenge for being abandoned, and with this set, they can finally do so. 😀 The criteria for critics are “design”, “originality” and “adherence to the theme”, and while there are no winners or prizes, we will ensure that some of the most interesting games are highlighted in next week`s post. These units were inspired by Mantic Games` Trident Realms of Neritica, which features many fantastic aquatic and marine models.
So, if you are coming from Kings of War or want to buy a few new models, then this update is for you. For too long, the dwarves of Sky City have felt safe high in the clouds, but not for much longer, as the followers of change have taken up arms and fly directly towards them with their deadly demonic disks. This month, our friends at CobraMode were kind enough to provide all our Level 2 customers with additional models as a free gift, along with the Mazigh Raider and the Hanzaki Ninja. It`s important to note that we`re taking this opportunity to test some changes to the points calculator as well, so expect the cost of points to be very different from what you`re used to. The biggest change is the way offensive and defensive stats are balanced, making weapons more expensive overall, helping to rebalance glass gun units. To reflect this piece of history, we recently updated the Battle Sisters and added a ton of new units that use similar technology to the Battle Brothers. Because while the monster is alone, it starts with a lot of information that hunters don`t have, resulting in an exciting game of cat and mouse. The monster begins in a hidden state, with no model on the board, and controls its movements and actions by secretly writing them down on a piece of paper.
Meanwhile, the hunters go in search of him before he reaches his secret destination. The Orc Raiders, on the other hand, focus on raw melee power combined with a heavy dose of heavy flamethrowers. The warlord is a fearsome beast that can easily take on entire squads, while the Utra bosses can withstand sustained fire as they move slowly across the battlefield. Make sure you use your boss monster to strategically absorb fire and don`t be afraid to rush headlong into the enemy. Ratmen shamans are powerful sorcerers capable of casting ancient spells that spread diseases among their enemies or pulverizing them with crackling lightning. The Ossified Undead are a group of crazy mutant skeletons built by cursed necromancers seeking revenge on their former vampire lord ally. The Battle Sisters in this set focus on a variety of short- and medium-range infantry units supported by a dangerous Assault Walker. The list includes a Big Sister who can strengthen her unit with Blind Faith, as well as Mad Fanatic Sisters who can rush into battle and deal huge damage with their heavy chainsaw swords. The Night of the Hunt is really interesting because it takes the concept of asymmetrical design and really works with it, while staying on familiar enough ground that it`s really intuitive to play. Since it was the highest-rated game in the jam, we`re going to dive deep into what makes it so great.
😀 Now that everyone has had a chance to try and rate the different games, we wanted to highlight some of them that we found particularly interesting. These are not the “best” games or “winners” of the jam, but just some of the games that captured our imagination. For a long time, players have been asking us if we could create an app to help you build lists, similar to BattleScribe, but without any problems. We have 23 designs for each game and want to include at least 4 themes per game at the beginning, although we hope to gather more. This game is really interesting because everything is controlled by a deck of cards, and it also has a lot of fun mechanics, like the bad guys picking up rangers and running away with them.
